It was a Mini Meez meeting today at the Guild and I won the prize. We usually put our names in a basket and draw one out and I’ve been very lucky in the past. Today our leader said whoever had the most hearts in the project would win the prize, and that was me! Not that our prizes are always that great (usually bits of fabric or patterns that folks are passing along); today’s prize was a mini-binder that will be perfect in my Hexagon Sewing Kit (should I ever get it done). You will have to wait for Valentines to see the project.
I worked on my Itty Bitty blocks today. I didn’t like the way my Snail’s Tail worked out the first time I did it so I replaced it today with a solid colour and I’m much happier. I have two rows stitched together; the other blocks are all finished and just need to be joined. I thought the photo looked a bit odd as I downloaded it but there will be a row of sashing between each of the rows. I have a new light in the basement so I think between that and new glasses (should I ever get some frames picked out) I’ll be able to do some hand stitching while I watch TV.
I’m off now to practice my uke before supper.
