I had lots of projects to work on at the bee today but, as usual, not all of them were touched.
I worked on my two Guild Mystery Blocks of the Month. Between the Christmas party and the January meeting I felt like I was behind; these blocks are due at the February meeting. I’m not very happy with my colour choices but since I didn’t know what it was going to end up looking like I used what I had. If I don’t like it at the end I can always use it as a Community Quilt.
While I was working on one of the blocks I was bemoaning the fact that I had put a couple of the pieces together wrong. Marlene, one of our senior quilters in proficiency and age, looked at it and assured me it was right because it looked like hers. When we looked at the two of them more closely we were both wrong and both had some reverse sewing to do!
Because there were so many restarts today I used up all of my Leader and Ender pieces. This may become a miniature quilt or I may keep working on it all year and have a Community Quilt done when we have our workshop next season; last year’s quilt is still waiting for borders and quilting but it started out as a Leader and Ender project.
