We have another storm blowing through today; it started just after midnight last night and has been blowing steadily all day. You would think that at some point there would be no more rain left to fall but we haven’t reached that point yet I guess. First thing this morning I saw something lying on the road but couldn’t make out what it was; by noon the rain had washed it further down the hill and it was someone’s shoe!

Only a fool would be out in such weather; only a fool or a quilter that needed a certain colour of thread! I stopped at both fabric stores and they were relatively busy. I took my finished wool appliqué project to show Lainey and another customer was there and ordered two kits from her; you would think that deserved a discount of some sort on my bill but it didn’t.

I’ve been listening to my Christmas music and working on projects for most of the day. There is a storytelling event at the Cranberry Hall tonight that we talked about attending but with the weather being what it is I doubt we’ll venture out.
