Earlier this week I mentioned to Pat that I hadn’t slept well for the second night in a row. Later in the day he said I should try taking a spoon of honey before bed; apparently it does something good for your liver during the night. I tried it and, in fact, I did sleep well. I did it again the next night and had another good sleep.
Then I forgot the next couple of nights; in truth I did remember but not until after I was settled in bed and I didn’t want to get up. I didn’t sleep well that first night or last night, after forgetting again. I was awake during the night (for an hour of reading) and early in the morning (for a few more chapters).
Tonight I will set the honey out on the counter when I clean up after supper and I will take a spoonful before bed. Hopefully I will sleep well; but just in case honey isn’t the magic cure I will also open the window for some fresh air (the wind has died down and the rain has stopped)!
