Pat was out at the movies last night so I spent all evening stitching; I was back at it this morning and finished my project early this afternoon. Both last night and today my stitching was accompanied by howling wind and driving rain. I just said to Pat this morning that I hadn’t even started listening to my Christmas music. When he asked why I said it was because I really haven’t started my Christmas work yet. With this project ready for the Guild meeting tonight I can turn my focus to Christmas and enjoy my music.

This was an English paper piecing project from one of the Guild library books. The original pattern calls for “Welcome Home” to be appliquéd in the blank spot of the centre. That sentiment really doesn’t work so I’m contemplating other things – Welcome or Joy come to mind. I think I’ll keep it for myself (because I really like it) so I have lots of time to decide.
