I made good progress last night and I got several sale items finished and ready for pricing. My plan was to finish the rest today, get much of it tagged and packed so I’d be well prepared for setting up on Friday afternoon.
I needed to send something to Kathryn and told her this morning I’d sent it along with her Advent calendar goodies either later in the week (I thought Friday might be free) or early next week. Then I realized that the Advent calendar starts on Tuesday and they needed to be sent out today. I made purchases for the calendars earlier in the week but I only had enough to fill two. I took the two that needed to travel the furthest to the post office just before lunch; while I was out I purchased a few more items for the last calendar and I picked up a few things I needed to complete some my sale items.
After lunch I finished packaging the third Advent calendar. Before taking it up to the post office I framed this Big Bird and Little Bird needlepoint (I bought the frame this morning) as well as these project bags. I put a few kids things in one, some travel items in another and a small knitting project in the third. I’ll sell them with or without the contents with different pricing. The dollar stores certainly helps to keep the costs down on many of these things, and the fact that I have bins of yarn and other supplies helps too.
Just when I started to feel like I was catching up I realized that it is only one month until Christmas. I’ve started, but I’m far from ready!
