Still so much to do

Monday, November 23, 2015

I placed a couple of online orders before heading out to my yoga class. I did a bit of shopping before class and a bit after so the morning and part of the afternoon were gone before I was finished. I had a book to pick up at the library and while I waited I took a look at their New Releases shelf. I found one that looked interesting and when I checked out I noticed that both of the books are due back in two weeks – yikes!

My intention for today was to start sewing in the ends of theĀ knitting projects I’ll be offering for sale on the weekend. I made some progress but there is still a lot to do. I may be ahead of some though. As my lunch was warming I glanced out the window and noticed Carola on the sidewalk outside knitting up a storm. She often waits there if she is getting a ride with someone but I don’t always see her knitting. I had a brief chat with her (from the balcony) and she says she is going to skip sewing tomorrow because she has so much sale prep to do!

I had a note on most of my items as to how much I intended to charge but I didn’t have any tags prepared. I tied in the ends on a couple of items and then moved on to finding a template for my tags. I wrote up a bit of info for each of the items (size, yarn, washing instructions, etc.) but nothing is attached yet. I hope to have everything done by Thursday so I may have some long days ahead of me.

The guest that we were expecting tomorrow has changed her plans so that gives me a bit more breathing space. On the other hand we may be running the concession at the show this weekend which means I’ll have to get at some baking. Pat usually tries to find a third party to take care of the concession but everyone seems to be busy (I wonder why) so we may be stuck. I made loaves the last time, but if I have to do it again I’ll do cookies.

Now, back to those ends!
