I picked this up on loan from the library and, since it is a new book, I only had until the end of the month to read it. I worried a bit as to whether or not I would have to fit in a full day of reading to get it done in time. It was absolutely no problem – I had to force myself to turn the light off at the end of the day and go to sleep. I didn’t even mind those nights when I was awake for a couple of hours because I got in some extra reading time.
The story is told from the point of view of three main characters – Willow (a young girl living on the streets with a baby), Heidi (who is captivated by Willow and her child), and Chris, Heidi’s husband. There is a hint to what is happening early in the book but the story unravels slowly, as does Heidi!
