Keeping track

Wednesday, October 14, 2015

Yesterday one of the members of our miniature quilt club brought along  her daytimer and told us how she keeps track of all things quilting (and a few other related interests) in it. Her idea was very similar to my journaling, but I thought her idea had some merit in keeping track of just how long it takes me to complete a project from start to finish. Since I often bounce between one, two or three projects I quickly lose track of how many days/weeks I have spent on it. In some cases (think tablecloth) it feels like I’ve been working on it for months!

Will it make me feel better knowing how slow I am? Maybe not, particularly when I record that I spent three and a half hours today doing the last bit of quilting and attaching the binding for my third Hallowe’en project.

Enough for today. I’m going to relax with some knitting before we head out to the movie after supper.
