I finished my two Hallowe’en projects last night so I was ready for our Mini Meez meeting today. Packing up for the bee was easy as all I had to do was stick my tablecloth in a bag and pack my needle, thread, scissors and a few Wonderclips.
It was a very small crowd today and neither of the people I hoped to see were present. I thought I might get the tablecloth finished and I could show it to Barb (who is keeping track of the Guild’s UFO Challenge) and Kathleen (who was the instructor for the class). As it turned out I didn’t get it finished so it didn’t matter who was there. I managed to get the ends all knotted and buried and I have one side of the binding stitched down. I’ll have another week to get it done without having to show it at a Guild meeting!
Apparently today was my lucky day. I won the prize at the Mini Meez meeting – a mini charm pack of Moda solids. When I got home I had a stack of mail – some lovely doilies from Roberta, a family recipe book from Stacia, and a new Block magazine featuring patterns using pre-cuts.
I finished my knitting project last night and I’ve got a new scarf pattern ready to start tonight. My bin of sale items is filling up, but my pile of items to “finish” is much larger. I love the making but I’m not so keen on finishing – darning in ends (or knots), sewing pieces together, blocking, etc., etc.
