Pyjama Day

Saturday, October 3, 2015

Yesterday I had great plans for today; I was going to take a break from sewing to attend a few events around town. The first craft sale for the season was on at the Senior Centre and I wanted to go and have a look around – I admit I was mostly looking for ideas for my own craft sale. The first Winter Market opened today, in spite of it being a glorious fall day. And there was a breast cancer fundraiser that several friends were selling crafts at, with a portion of their proceeds going to breast cancer research.

All those plans changed though when I woke up at 5:30 with a headache. I took some medications but lay awake until finally getting up a bit before eight. I was back in bed by about 8:30 so it was a short morning. When I got up again a bit after eleven I took some more medications, had something to eat and a couple of cups of coffee. One or more of those combinations worked because I was feeling more or less better by two. Since my intended plans had gone by the wayside I saw no need of getting myself dressed and ready for what remained of the day.

While I had my coffee I managed to get all the the ends of my tablecloth tied in. And since I was feeling better by that time I did my Guild web updates.

For what remains of my day I’ll work on my afghan – a project I want done almost as much as the tablecloth!
