I’ve been working on the borders for Elizabeth’s House today; one corner done and three more to go. At the suggestion of the sales clerk where I bought one of my border fabrics, I used a flange rather than a zinger. I’m very happy with the results so far.
And in case you thought I wouldn’t continue to use my folding clothes line, I put it to good use in my studio. It can hold the fabric for the projects that I’m near completion on. It works much better than piling them on the chair!
We’re off to the Blackberry Festival Street Party tonight. The blackberries were ready early this year but the pickers have been selling them by the bucketful so I expect there will be enough for our favourite treat – Blackberry Shortcake sold by the Townsite Heritage Society. I am often able to get some fresh bannock from the Sliammon First Nations; if not, there is no shortage of blackberry-themed goodies!
