On a Thursday morning I usually do some computer work before heading to my Red Cross shift but cleaning was still on my mind this morning. I scrubbed a few floors and cleaned the bathrooms so I’ll have a little less to do tomorrow. I’m doing an extra good job this time because I won’t be around for a September clean. Pat will be handling two concerts on his own when I’m away and I’m pretty sure he won’t be doing the kind of tidying I feel is necessary before guests arrive and we host a house concert.

It was a very quiet day at the Red Cross – no clients looking for equipment and no returns. I’d forgotten how difficult it is to fill a two-hour shift when there is nothing to do!

There are a few piles in my studio calling my name; once I clean them up I’ll try to get in some stitching before supper.
