Still on vacation

I’m feeling fine today but I’m not yet ready to settle back into any sort of routine. Pat and I drove out to Lund this morning for brunch at Nancy’s Bakery. Everyone else had the same idea apparently as it was very busy. I had forgotten this was a long weekend (about the only downside of retirement) so perhaps that accounted for the extra people. Or maybe this was just a normal summer weekend in Lund. We were lucky enough to get a table in the shade and enjoyed a nice omelette and coffee. It was tough, but we passed on the cinnamon buns!

After we got home I did a load of laundry and a bit of tidying up. All the bags we brought back from the beach are empty but I still have some sand toys to wash down and put away. And speaking of sand – my goodness we brought a lot of it back with us! The playroom upstairs is tidied, but I want to do a bit more furniture rearranging in there. My sewing studio has a lot of baskets, bins and bags that were moved from the playroom side just so inquiring hands wouldn’t get into them; I haven’t really tried my new studio arrangement for sewing so there may be more rearranging to do on that side as well.

I’ll spend a quiet evening with some knitting and maybe, just maybe, by tomorrow I’ll feel like working.
