Piles

I’ve spent most of the day working on cards and ignoring the overwhelming urge to rearrange my studio. Based on the piles I have laying around you can understand why I’m wanting a change.

Jul 18_4Jul 18_3This is one of the chairs in my studio. I generally drop whatever I bring upstairs onto this chair. And when I unpack containers or bags the contents often end up here first. My other chair is also covered (in unfinished projects I’m not ready to show) but there is also this little pile of goodies sitting on the floor in front of it.

Jul 18_5This small table is usually folded up and tucked behind my design wall. I was using it when I did my embroidery and it has quickly become just another surface to put things on.

Jul 18_6My sewing machine table is never just a sewing machine table; sometimes it is difficult to clear things away so I can sew. Fortunately my smaller projects can be worked on without disturbing this mess.

Jul 18_7This is my pile of Guild Treasurer “things”. I have made a date with the new treasurer and she’ll be picking the books up on Wednesday. I have a few things to sort out before then but this is likely the first pile that will be cleaned up. I’ll be moving furniture around when I rearrange my sewing rooms so things are likely to get much worse before they get better!

Pat is playing at one of the local coffee shops tonight. It will be a lovely evening for sitting out and enjoying some music.
