There was another meeting of the Library Committee this morning. I had the vacuuming done and the laundry on the line by 8:30 so I had a bit of stitching time before I was off to the Guild. One of the women in the group had an appointment at eleven so I was able to get home for almost an hour before heading off to my Red Cross shift; again I used that time for a bit more embroidery.
I finished up this knitted beanie last night but I’m not sure if I’m happy with it. As I was knitting it I thought it seemed big, but I checked my gauge and it was right. It looks big when it is opened up, but it fits nicely over my head, and most hats don’t. I kept thinking it was for a child, but when I look at the pattern closely it doesn’t say it is for a child. I have enough of the blue yarn to make another one; this time I will use circular needles and avoid the seam up the back.
We have an important birthday phone call to make and then I’ll do more stitching. I’m slow but determined!
