Choices

I was at the Guild hall by nine this morning to assist with library cleanup. We worked for more than two hours; I didn’t think we got a lot done but my partners on the committee were very pleased with our progress. There isn’t a plan so I more or less did as I was told. Today I was making sure the books the shelves had cards securely attached – with clear tape, not masking tape! Yes, this procedure will be a bit of a challenge for me; I thought we should be sorting and labeling the books somehow by categories. That will be part of another clean up day I guess. I came up with a couple of ideas for a library table at our Business meetings so I guess I’m contributing.

I went from there directly to my Red Cross shift. It was a slow day – only one return and one loan. Of course the loan came five minutes before closing so I still had to work an extra 15 minutes. I managed to recruit spares for the three weeks in July that I will be away or have company, as well as take care of a bit of inventory clean up. I had forgotten how boring the shifts can be when there is no work to do!

I have three choices for the rest of my afternoon – read, have a nap, or get busy in my studio. I’ve started another knitting project so my evening will be productive even if the rest of my afternoon isn’t.
