A mini day

Saturday, June 20, 2015

I finished my mini fans project a few days ago. I wasn’t very happy with it but I thought it would pass muster at the next Mini Meez meeting. However, an after-finish issue came up and there was no way it was “good enough”. I decided I would do the Show (it still looks like I did a lot of work) and Tell (I can tell all the things that went wrong) and then pitch the whole thing. But my mind wouldn’t let it go so today I started over. I didn’t hand piece it, but I did play a bit with the techniques used in the pattern book. I won’t hand quilt it, but I have done a no-binding flip and it is ready for some machine quilting. It was way past lunch before it was done; I’ll rest easier knowing I did a better job the second time around.

I spent the rest of the afternoon working on my embroidery. I have a lovely breeze blowing through the studio and there is anĀ echo of Pat’s music coming through the open windows.
