Long morning, short afternoon

I was awake at 4:30 this morning;  I tried to get back to sleep but I gave up at 5:30 and got started on my day. By the time Pat got up I already had his GST accounting finished and off to the accountant. After breakfast I worked on some Guild business. The final cheques for the year were written at the party last night and I was anxious to finish up the paperwork. I still need to sort through and file some of the paper from the year but once that is finished I’ll pass the books on.

I had a card and a couple of items from the Guild that needed to be sent in the mail. It wasn’t as hot as it has been so I decided to walk to the Post Office. When we first came I walked most places, unless I really needed the car. I do several errands at the same time now and, depending on what those errands are, I generally take the car. It wasn’t as cool out as I thought it would be, but I enjoyed the walk.

After lunch I lay down for a nap. I hate to do that because I always feel so lousy when I wake up, but I was tired so decided to risk it. I didn’t need to worry though as I couldn’t fall asleep. After an hour I gave up but, as I always told my kids, a rest is as good as a sleep.

We’ll head out to the Kelly Creek market tonight. They usually have good performers, and I know who I can get really good bread from. We don’t generally find much else, but we see lots of friends when we are there. Until then I’ll do a bit of stitching; it’s slow going, but it is going!
