What a great day

While we waited for the noon ferry (and our company) I got a bit further on my new card idea. Every now and again I see a pattern that I’d like to try so I bookmark it or save the image. I think this idea came from Pinterest and I found it again as I was moving things from my iPad to my main computer. I’ll wait to see the final result to decide if it will go into a regular card rotation.

The noon ferry brought Bill and Peggy from their side of the pond to ours. We see them often when we are traveling but it was nice to have a visit when “the visit” was all we were there for. We had a short walk along the Seawall before heading to the Shinglemill for lunch. The outside deck was full when we got there, but we were able to move out to the deck before our meals arrived. We came back to the house after lunch and the afternoon flew by. Before we ran out of things to talk about it was time to get them back to the ferry for their ride home. It is always good to have someone to share stories from the past with, and we both enjoy Bill’s stories so much!

We made a quick trip out to the Kelly Creek market tonight. We always buy bread from one of the vendors, but tonight we bought a loaf from our regular as well as from another vendor. There were lots of friends out on such a beautiful evening, and two other friends were providing the musical entertainment.

After a slice, or maybe two, of bread I’ll get back to my crocheting.
