Pat got the airline tickets booked for the kids for the end of July. Kathryn, Elizabeth and their families will arrive in Comox on the same flight; Christy, Rick and the kids will be driving up. If I have to have “the big birthday” at least there are advantages!
I puttered around this morning sorting out some e-mail and getting “real” mail ready for the Post Office. Pat needed some groceries so I stopped and got those while I was out. I worked on one set of my placemats this afternoon. I had hoped to sandwich my tablecloth today but Pat had a friend over to play music and, when I sandwich, I take up pretty much all available space between the kitchen and living room (and I block off the stairs in the process). It’s much more fun to work on a smaller project; you get to the end a lot sooner!
I started a new crochet project last night. I’m not very inspired by it so tonight I may take out what I’ve done and change it up a bit. I’m creating the pattern from a picture I saw online so I’m not surprised I have to play with it a bit before I get something I like.
We ate lunch on the front deck today; it was warm in the sun, but not too hot yet. Now I think it is time for me to take my book out to the back deck and read (or nap) a bit before dinner.
