My bobbins are wound, my sewing machine is oiled, and my projects are packed. But wait … I don’t have anything to work on during the ferry ride. I had already picked out a miniature quilt pattern from the magazine I brought home from the last Mini Meez meeting; when I saw it I thought it would work as an English paper-pieced project. I guess I’ll see.
I finished the socks last night so I packaged them up, along with a few other things, and got them sent off to Calgary today. While I was out I picked up just a few more groceries to take, as well as a bottle of wine (in truth, a second bottle of wine!).
My final task was to pick some music for the drive; the woman I’m carpooling with has a new vehicle (with a CD player!). The way she announced it I thought she might not have any CDs so I said I’d bring some. Since most of my discs are loaded into iTunes I have very few “actual” CD’s near at hand. I didn’t want to have a bunch of loose cases in my bag so I made myself a CD holder. It is actually meant to fit on a car visor; mine was a quickie and not-exactly-as-the-pattern called for so it will sit inside my bag as one unit.
I still have to pack a few clothes, cut up some veggies for the appie I’m taking, and test-bag the supplies from the fridge. Pick up is tomorrow at seven!
