This was my April off-the-shelf selection. I’ve read a few by this author and liked them all.

A group of Fenians have taken hostages and are holding them in New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral on St. Patrick’s Day. They are threatening to blow up the church, thereby killing themselves and the hostages, unless their demands are met.

As the story unfolds there is lots of intrigue and it becomes difficult o determine the good guys from the bad guys.
