Quilt Show 2015 – What could be more Canadian than the maple leaf and log cabins?
This was my response to the 2014-2015 Guild challenge. We were given two charm squares, one red and one white. We could do whatever we wanted with them, but the finished product was limited to 22″.
With red and white fabric and a Canadian theme there seemed little choice but to start with the Canadian flag (which turned 50 years old this year). I’ve never made a log cabin quilt, but the theme lent itself to the idea.
I used a template to quilt maple leaves throughout the piece.
