Maybe it was because I had a day of sewing ahead of me but I woke up feeling better this morning. After my lemon tea and a shower I was ready and anxious to start my day.
We are working on a mystery quilt at the Guild. I participated in one a couple of years ago and ended up with my Summer Nights quilt. I’m always a bit worried about the fabric choices I make – I have a difficult time when I know what the pattern will look like, never mind when I don’t have a clue. Or maybe that’s easier.
We won’t see what the quilt looks like until we get to Step 13; I’m ready to start step 7 tomorrow but so far I like my colours. For the most part we were joining 96 pieces together to make forty-eight pieces using three different shapes and sizes. I’m not sure what size this will end up to be, but I’m hoping to use it as a tablecloth. I may need to adjust the borders but I can decide that later. I doubt very much that I will get to the last step tomorrow.
I will do a bit of Guild work tonight and, hopefully, finish off a knitting project.
