I can’t believe my One Block Wonder is nearing completion. I spent the morning quilting; I was aiming for spirals and, in some places, they came out okay. In other places they were less than accurate and in some you could see I panicked and wound myself out of the loop as quickly as possible. Since it was done before lunch I decided to add a little decorative flower at the top of each of the cubes. When they were done I wondered if I should maybe have a flower on each side of the cube.

I took the piece downstairs to ask Pat’s opinion. He was in his studio and by the time he surfaced I had already decided I needed less flowers rather than more. Most of the afternoon was spent picking out the flowers I had so carefully stitched. It was a rush to get the sleeve, label and binding attached before supper, but I made it. I’ll have to stay up late to get everything hand stitched tonight, but we have a full season of The Fall to watch on Netflix.
