I did a bit of paperwork this morning before heading down the hill for coffee with Carola. She was on a recent shopping trip and I hadn’t had a Show and Tell preview. She has lots of plans and more fabric in her stash than I do!
As soon as coffee was over I headed up to the hospital for my Red Cross shift. I knew I was doing computer training today so I prepared myself with a little patience lecture. I didn’t need it because Carol is very focused and didn’t have any trouble catching on. She isn’t back for a couple of weeks so we’re hoping she will remember everything from today; at the very least I told her to remember her passwords. And, of course, when you are training, it seems every loan has a bit of an oddity so it interrupts the flow. I left for the day without finishing up the washing; I hate to do that to the Friday morning shift but I felt staying an extra hour was enough.
Some of my paperwork this morning involved shifting my In Basket from a shelf by the window to a cupboard by my desk; actually let’s say half of it made it into the cupboard and the other half is stacked on the floor in front of the cabinet. I also had an empty bin (because I’m finishing several projects) so I moved all my threads into it; it will keep the dust off them but they will still be easy enough to sort through. Now when I look up from my computer and/or sewing machine I have a nice view of the water towards Sliammon and Lund.
I have my One Block Wonder project sandwiched and pinned; I’ll start basting the sides before dinner and start quilting tomorrow. But first I want to find a pattern for some evening knitting.
