Author: Richard Powers
Every time I saw this book on the shelves I thought to myself, “I want to read that”. Of course until now that never happened.
The best thing about the book is the title. There are three loosely connected themes in the novel; a story about the lives of the three farmers, a story about a man obsessed with a photo of the three farmers, and essays about everything from war to Henry Ford. Had it not been for “the rules” I never would have finished it.
The second best thing about the book is it is on its way out the door!
