It’s like somebody lit a fire under me. I’ve already started Block Three of Elizabeth’s wall hanging. There is a lot of embroidery work to do on Block Two, and I haven’t started it, but at this pace I should be able to take a decent photo when the time comes. I have a weekend coming up where I’m sitting and selling raffle tickets so I’ll get some of the stitching done between sales. I’ve only run into one issue so far. I had lots of fabric left over when I finished the first two blocks, but as I started work on Block Three there wasn’t a piece in the kit that was large enough for the background for one of the mini-blocks. I dug through my tone-on-tone and neutral fabrics and found something that is close in colour to what is shown in their pattern. Thank goodness I sorted out my fabric drawers a few days ago!
I booked another trip today; WestJet keeps having seat sales and I keep buying. I’m going to go out to Calgary to celebrate the April birthdays with them. I can’t leave until after the Guild meeting; I have to report on the quilt show income and expenses. I have to have an initial report done for a meeting the week after the show, but the final report to the membership doesn’t happen until the April meeting. I have to be home before the April House Concert, but I still managed to get a good price each way. Hopefully I can hand deliver Elizabeth’s hanging
We may head out to a movie tonight. Every night is cheap night for us, but it is cheap night for everyone today and we aren’t sure we want to bother with the crowds. Oh my we are getting bad; a crowd at the theatre could mean 30 people!
