Christmas is done

Christmas is over at our house! I took down the decorations over a week ago and they sat in the living room in boxes for several days. Gradually they were moved downstairs to the front door but they didn’t make it to the shed until today. I kept a couple of things out of the Christmas trunks. I received a lovely snowman tri-fold that I’ve kept in the living room; it’s winter, not necessarily Christmas. I didn’t put away my Scentsi snowman either; I brought it upstairs and it smells so nice when I’m stitching in my studio. The vintage photo Deloise gave me is on a shelf at the top of the stairs; it will stay there most of the year but be brought downstairs at Christmas.

This morning I picked out some backing fabric for my 12 Days of Christmas mystery piece, and I cut the binding for it as well. That meant my Christmas fabric bin could be put away at the bottom of the pile of bins I have in my studio. I even finished trimming down the Christmas fabric scraps, although most of them are small enough that they can be thrown in with my other fabric scraps and they won’t really be obvious as Christmas when they eventually get stitched together.

But the main reason I’m calling an end to Christmas is that my bottle of Baileys has run out!
