After removing all the pressure from my “need to get it done” life, I’ve enjoyed a very relaxing day. Pat was instructing an online course so there were no telephone interruptions. While he is teaching I try to stay off the network so there was only sporadic e-mail, Facebook and web activity.
I did a little knitting this morning before heading upstairs. I had downloaded a little tutorial about how to cast on stitches in the middle of a project. I was anxious to try it but I needed to get my project to that point first. It worked great. This is the sixth (and last) pair of yoga socks; I think I did an okay job of adding stitches my “old” way, but this method is a little cleaner looking.
I filled the rest of my day with a lot of puttering and a bit of cross stitching. Tomorrow is a sewing day so I’ll have to dig out my project tonight. It’s been so long since I’ve done anything on it I’m sure I’ll be slow getting started, and I did a clean up before Taylor and Dylan came to visit so it may take some time to find all the pieces I need.
I’m not sure that idling away my time is any better than fretting about wasting my time, but it is much more relaxing.
