It appears that we really did score a deal when we got our free piano. We have the technician here this morning (I know, why not add one more thing to an already hectic day) and he is pleased with what he is finding. He’s explaining all the steps to Pat along the way and suggested some work he could show Pat how to do if he wanted to save the repair costs. We assured him we would be calling on him for the job.

He’s taken things apart – there is stuff all over the floor – but I’m sure he can put it back together. His tools are interesting – so far he’s used our hair drier and my nail polish remover! There may be more surprises in store, but at least he didn’t groan as soon as he looked inside.

We WILL catch the noon ferry and be on our way East overnight.
