It has been a short day of studio work, but I have crossed a few things off my list. Pat was playing at Arts in the Park at Willingdon Beach today. He headed out early to set up, but I walked down later in the morning. It was a lovely day for a walk; the sun was shining but there was a nice ocean breeze. When Pat’s set started I was sitting in the shade, but by the time it was over the sun had moved and it was hot. While I waited for Pat’s performance to start I finished up the basting on the extra hexagons I made for my Blossom quilt.
When I got upstairs I finished up my Days for Girls bags. I now have 15 bags to turn in on Tuesday. Since I had a Tuesday deadline for my Guild reports, I got them completed next. Then I started laying out the blossoms for my quilt and discovered that I have four rows of three, not three rows of three so I’m a few solid hexagons short. There are three blossoms in a group, and one blossom in each group will have a solid centre. I need to pick up a few more storage bags before I start starching, pressing and packing them.
I’ve spent a little time this afternoon picking out patterns for my cards. I hope to have a long card day tomorrow and knock as many off as possible.
