The ladies at BOND love to have a breakfast meal at lunch and today was the day. I served pancakes and sausages with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream on the side. I also had a bowl of cherries and a plate of kiwi fruit, as well as the usual veggie tray. The veggies don’t go nearly as fast on pancake day; the same can be said for the pickles.

Although the hospital is air conditioned, the small kitchen always seems warm. Coming out into the heat of the day saps what little energy I have left. I need to get my gear together for the bee tomorrow but other than that I don’t think I will accomplish anything more today – except maybe some knitting this evening.
