When I went out to the yard to do some work this morning I noticed that the peonies are blooming. When I think of peonies I remember the ones Mum grew in the flower bed at the front (near where the swing originally was). She always had plants that were covered in blossoms; we seem to get only one blossom on each plant.
I finished up my fabric bin that I started yesterday. The pattern was actually made as a thread catcher, but mine will hold these little two-inch square pieces once they are stitched together.
I had barely finished before I thought of two other spots that could use one. The tools on my cutting table will fit nicely in one, and perhaps I wouldn’t be digging through piles trying to find my scissors or rotary cutter.

I have a small container by my chair that holds “stuff”, but a basket sitting here would look so much nicer.
Perhaps I need one as a thread catcher after all! I will definitely be making more of these.
