I was back at BOND today for the first time in a long time. I was glad that today’s menu called for tacos; it’s a familiar meal and the ladies love it. What I didn’t plan on was that spouses and partners were included in today’s invite.

The shopping was slower than usual. I got some really nice organic strawberries for the fruit plate, as well as some organic oranges. I got some seedless black grapes that were very tasty and I think I’ll go back tomorrow and buy some for myself. Save-On must be training the summer help as both the cashiers were very slow. I’m usually pulling out of the parking lot by eleven but today I was still in the check out line waiting for a chance to load my groceries onto the belt.

Getting everything ready was a rush. We did extra fruit and veggies in anticipation of extra guests. I made plenty of tacos and had all the trimmings, including my homemade guacamole. In the end though none of the extras accepted the invite so it was just the Mums; they certainly cleaned up on the tacos though and I only had the fixings for two tacos to send as leftovers.

Lots of babies just now. In fact, as I go around the table in my mind, I think there was only one expectant Mum. Pat says I say all babies are cute, and he is right, but some are just cuter than others. Little Nova fit that bill today!

I was exceptionally messy today and I had to wipe down the entire stove after lunch. I did two sink loads of dishes as well as running a full load through the dishwasher. The ladies get a clean plate whenever they get seconds (or thirds) so the dishwasher fills quickly.

Too bad I couldn’t have brought the dirty dishes home for the power washer to handle. He uses hot water to kill the moss so he could have blasted those pots! He is still out there working, but what he has done looks really good.
