I spent what morning I had working on my Annual Financial Report for the Guild. I thought I had kept up to date with it, adding each month as we went along, but it didn’t balance this morning when I put it all together. I’ve never done one of these before and I’m not really sure what is required, but I’m breaking everything down into loosely organized categories (a bit like my scrap bin). Part of the statement is done under my watch and part through the previous treasurer so it takes some time to go through it all. I have the income for the year balanced; it was a dumb mistake on my part. I expect the expenses side of it will prove to be the same. I thought it was due next Thursday, but I have an extra week to sort it all out.
My shift at the Red Cross was very busy. There wasn’t too much data entry required, and there wasn’t a huge backlog of inventory. There was a steady stream of clients in and out all afternoon though, many of them wanting to tell me their stories. I can’t complain as it was my first shift in a couple of weeks.
I’m wiped and I won’t be doing much for the rest of the day. It is surprising how fast the week goes by when you are out and about!
