I was up at six this morning and there were already half a dozen boats out on the water, just past the ferry dock. I don’t know what kind of fish are running but there have been tons of fisherfolk out on the water all weekend. Pat saw someone land a big one when he was watching through the binoculars.
For such an early start I really didn’t get much done. Before heading down the hill for coffee with Carola I picked out fabric for my next ten Farmer’s Wife blocks. I’m trying to sort the bin of fabric a bit as I go through it. Often I want to use a particular piece but don’t have enough and then later find more of it at the bottom of the bin. My first twenty blocks are done!
After lunch, a visit to Canadian Tire and a bit of yard work and laundry I headed back upstairs and finished the foundation of the next block for “My Crazy Life”. I used fabric that was supplied in the Guild’s brown bag challenge but added some of my own as well. I’ve put in fabric that covers a wide span of my life. There are some fabrics that were used in maternity tops I made, fabrics that represent each of my children and grandchildren, fabric from my best friend, fabric to represent my sisters, fabric that represents my Farmer’s Wife Quilt and fabric that reminds me of Inside the Blue Fence. Can you pick out any of them?
