I finished up my projects before ten this morning. Pat and I were planning a trip to Lund after lunch but, since neither of us had eaten breakfast, we headed out early. It was too cool to sit on the deck at Nancy’s Bakery, but it was lovely inside looking out at the water. The tide was out and I could see the little stream bubbling down the beach and into the ocean.
Once we were home I was anxious to get my studio cleaned up. I had piles everywhere, on both sides of the hallway. Even the hallway was piled with things that belonged somewhere else. I sorted through a number of pattern magazines and marked the ones I liked for when the day comes that I don’t have anything started or more urgent!
It took a couple of hours, but everything is tidy again. I even did the vacuuming and rearranged some patterns and fabric into the bins I’ve emptied in my last flurry of sewing activity. I just have one UFO (unfinished object) on my design wall; the other one is packed for my UFO day at the Guild tomorrow. So grab a seat before the chairs get piled up again!
As I was cleaning I contemplated what I would do with the rest of the afternoon. I could knit, I could have a nap, but what I’m going to do is sit on the deck in the sunshine and read.
