I’ve been home for several days but I’m having trouble getting back into the swing of things. I’m not settling in to any particular project, although there are lots I could be working on.
We had a successful house concert the day after I got home. It was a late night as there were a few “hangers on” who didn’t seem ready to go home when the music stopped. Pat eventually kicked everyone out at eleven as he had to be up at 5:30 the next morning.
I managed to get the last two St. Patrick’s projects finished and in the mail on Wednesday. I was sure that starting my day on Thursday with computer work, Guild work and a Red Cross shift would set me right, but I didn’t even feel like journaling when I got home.
I was determined that today I would set myself straight. I wanted to get Alex’s quilt sandwiched but when Pat said he had some errands to do I went along with him so we could do some birthday shopping. And you know how much I love shopping! We managed to get a couple of gifts and then I came home and did some online shopping.
I lacked the energy to do my sandwiching so decided to spend the afternoon knitting. I got myself all set up with a good TV show but about five minutes into my knitting the bulb in the light exploded. Out came the vacuum but once the mess was cleaned up and a new light found I was back in business. My socks are nearing the top and after a few more sessions I should be ready for the heel.
So, I’ve returned to journaling and hopefully I’m back on track. My time has not all been wasted. I managed to complete Level 70 in Candy Crush – I’d been stuck in those Easter Bunny Hills for weeks!
