I finished my snowman project this morning. I avoid free-motion quilting if there is any other logical way to quilt a project. And if I have to do any free-motion quilting, I put it off for as long as possible. The snowman didn’t suit itself to anything other than free-motion so I was stuck.

I prepared my machine, I re-read my notes and finally I got down to it. I was pleasantly surprised that it all worked very well. I think the key is that the piece was small and much easier to maneuver through my machine.

I took some time from my reading this afternoon to finish the binding on the project.
