What a party

We had a great time at the concert last night. It was a night of firsts – the first time we have seated 37 people for the show, the first standing ovation for the performer, and the first time we have purchased extra merchandise from a performer.

However, it wasn’t the first time we stayed up too late! After everyone left Rick, Pat and I sat around the kitchen table visiting. There were times when we were laughing so hard we were nearly falling off the chairs. It might have been the wine, it might have been the late night, but mostly it was because Rick is such a funny man. I called it quits about 1 AM, and the guys gave in about half an hour later.

Rick was off to catch the 9 AM ferry so we had an early breakfast. We spent the morning getting the house back in order and then we went out for lunch. I had a gift card from the Red Cross that more than covered our meal. We made a quick stop at the Senior Centre on the way home so I could take some photos of the Log Cabin table runner class that was going on.

When we got home I felt like taking a nap, but since this is Pat’s only day at home for the next couple of weeks we got busy and did some Christmas shopping. I should say we picked out our Christmas gifts. I’ll have to get them ordered next week.

We have two friends playing music at two different venues tonight but I’m hoping we just stay home!
