It’s all her fault

Yesterday, after a quiet evening with a new knitting project, I went to bed and expected to read a chapter of my book before settling in for the night. Deloise passed me a copy of Believing the Lie by Elizabeth George, and I was at a point in the story where I just couldn’t put it down. At midnight, when I’d finished a chapter, I told myself it was time to put the light out.

I slept fitfully all night and was up early. I had planned to have a pyjama day today but realized that I was going to have to go out at some point so got dressed and started my day. I sorted through a bunch of bins and bags from the weekend show and then moved them upstairs in an attempt to clean up. I did a little work, but by mid-morning I was back downstairs with my book.

I did some shopping after lunch but I was determined to finish my book so I’d get some sleep tonight. I’ve got a book on order from the library, but in the meantime I’ll start one of the books that Kathryn passed to me.

I’m going to do a bit more tidying in my craft rooms and then I need to find something to work on at the bee tomorrow – I think English paper piecing might be just the thing. I also need to do some research for the Crayon quilt demo coming up on Thursday. When all that is done I’ll get back to my knitting and some episodes of Land Girls.
