Back at the bee

We went to the movie last night. Captain Phillips is based on true events but since I wasn’t aware of the story I was on the edge of my seat all evening. The movie missed 10 out of 10 stars because Tom Hanks tended to loose and then regain his accent throughout the movie.

Today was my first time at the bee since Thanksgiving. It is such fun to meet with this group of women, and today was no exception. I was working on more sale items – surprise! I had a project that required quite a bit of marking, and I had that all finished by noon. After lunch I stitched down the binding on a couple of placemats. I’ll continue to work on them over the next few evenings. We’re watching a new series on Netflix (Sons of Anarchy) and, since there are several seasons available, we can watch all evening.

I had a couple of stops to make on the way home. One of the stops was at the fabric shop. I needed some green thread and, while I was there, I picked up my November block of the month. I still haven’t started October’s block but I hope to tackle it after this sale is over.

I’ll quilt a few coasters before dinner and, if I’m really quick, I’ll have time to work on another project. I find I have to change threads often because of all the various fabric colours I’m using. I’ll try to work on different projects that require the same colours of thread to cut down on those thread changes.
