When I showed Pat my finishes from yesterday he reminded me that until they were labelled they couldn’t be called done. So that was my first task this morning.
Next I was either going to tackle my pile of quilting or start cutting out the baby quilt that I’m going to need very shortly. While making up my mind I noticed Dylan’s blanket sitting on the workbench. I decided to work on it and that has kept me busy all day.
When Dylan received his Mario wall hanging he asked if he could have Luigi on the new blanket I was making for him. I said sure without even thinking about how I would do that. I’ve managed to cross stitch Luigi in the center of the blanket, but I didn’t want to stop there.
I have a pixelated pattern for Mario and that will get cross stitched to one side of Luigi. Dylan told me about the Yoshi character and, after finding a picture online, I’ve pixelated it and I’m stitching it on the other side of Luigi. It is fun to do something a little different and a little challenging.
Pat and I had a picnic lunch today. McDonald’s supplied the food and Willingdon Beach supplied the atmosphere. The sun is shining again and there was a lovely breeze off the water. We hope to be at the outdoor music festival tomorrow so seeing the change in weather is very welcome.
As I work on Dylan’s blanket I’m reminded that I planned to make a patchwork skirt for Taylor. I keep finding more and more ways to keep myself busy!
