I was out the door just after eight this morning. My first stop was the hospital to catch up on any new inventory numbers that needed to be applied. I had most of the renumbering finished and was about ready to leave when I noticed old equipment sitting in with new equipment. I pulled a few items that were obvious and sent the details off to Courtenay. The Red Cross volunteers have a meeting on Thursday afternoon and I’ve made a few notes on things that I need to bring up. Hopefully I can make my points in a polite manner!
I was late arriving, but it was a good day at the bee. I’ve been doing the same project over and over and over and was I quite tired of it. Today was Project Tuesday where, if we decide to participate, we have a choice of three small wall hanging we can make. Even if we don’t make them we always can take the patterns. I haven’t participated for several months because the projects just weren’t getting done. But I needed a change so picked one of the patterns and got busy appliquéing. Everything is cut and placed, including the borders. It shouldn’t take me too long to do the quilting, but that will depend a bit on how many volunteer hours I put in over the next few days.
Tomorrow is my Food Safe course (8 AM to 4 PM), and Thursday is my regular Red Cross shift followed by a volunteer meeting. I guess the quilting (and my other projects) will have to wait!
