It was a quick trip to Saskatchewan and back, but I had a chance to visit with lots of family. Have we ever had a photo of the Erickson cousins? If we have, it was a long time ago.
I didn’t have great plans for today, but I certainly planned to do more than I have accomplished so far. I was at the hospital before the start of the first shift to find out what equipment needed re-numbering. I was just finishing up when the first volunteer of the day arrived and she needed a refresher on how the system works. I was there for over an hour – much longer than I expected.
I stopped at the bank to follow up on the signature changes for the Guild. I was just finishing up signing my life away when I saw our new President in line for the teller. I called her over and she got her name into the system today as well. When I got home I talked to the third person on the list and she will stop by tomorrow and get it done.
Once I was home I had a second cup of coffee before I headed up to my studio. I had a bit of paperwork to deal with, as well as some mail and bills that needed my attention. I wrote up a computer information sheet for the Red Cross volunteers and did a bit of Guild work. By then it was lunch.
After lunch I read through my Food Safe Course. It all makes sense and, for the most part, it is information I already know. The exam I need to take is really on my mind though so I’ll go through it all again one more time before heading to the day-long course on Wednesday.
While traveling I picked up three new quilting magazines so I have lots more projects in mind should I ever find time on my hands! I think I’ll do some fun stitching for the rest of the afternoon though rather than tackle the pile of quilting, piecing or hand sewing I have waiting.
