Early in the year I promised myself that on the Mondays, if I didn’t have to work the BOND lunch, I would get back into some of my other crafting (knitting, crocheting, and cross stitching). About that same time the second volunteer with the BOND program was sidelined with personal issues and I never seemed to make use of the few free Mondays that were available.
After finishing my hand stitching last night I did some studio clean up first thing this morning. Then I decided to get my gear together for tomorrow’s bee. I pulled fabric for the rest of my Christmas projects, but I’m going to have to go shopping again as I’ve run out of batting.
When Pat saw the gift I finished, he suggested I make 50 of them for sale. There is no way I’ll make 50 of them, but I priced the pieces just in case I have time to make a few sets for the craft sale that may (or may not) happen with my neighbour this fall.
Then, in keeping with my Christmas in July theme, I dug out my cross stitch Advent calendar. I have been working at this for a few years. I actually purchased the kit on a Boxing Day sale shortly after Madison was born (and she’s 12 this year)! It is slow going, but I’m enjoying my time.
We are off to a House Concert tonight. Now that we are “in the know” we are hearing of more and more of these concerts taking place. Pat says the listing for our own concerts should be available next week.
