A productive day

Pat was off to the ferry this morning so I got an early start in my studio. Things went well and Mario was quilted and bound with time left before lunch. I moved on to the cards that need to be done before I leave.

I had picked fabric and patterns before Tuesday’s bee but I didn’t have time to even start on them. With that done though I could get right to stitching them. The first card was going well but, as I was almost finished, I took a second look and realized I’d made a mistake somewhere because the pattern wasn’t right. I took some time to review it but couldn’t see where I’d gone wrong. Oh well, I printed off another sheet and started over. I wasn’t far along on this one before I realized that the pattern was turning out just the same as the first version. Without wasting time looking any further I decided the pattern was at fault and found a different one.

After struggling with that first card I took a break for lunch as soon as it was done. With two cards left to go though I didn’t stop for long. The next cards went well and they are all quilted and finished.

That leaves me with some hand stitching to do tonight, but I think what is left is definitely doable in the time I have left. I like to think I’m going to have time to do a good cleaning in my studio tomorrow, but no promises!
