It dawned on me last night as I was settling down to sleep that it is less than a week before I leave for Christy’s. And I have so many things I need to finished up before I go. I’m back to my usual schedule this week with BOND on Monday, sewing on Tuesday, and Red Cross on Thursday. A lot of what needs to be done is quilting and that can’t be done at the bee. Actually it could be done at the bee but I’m not yet confident enough to quilt in public! The good news is that Pat is heading back to Vancouver mid-week so I can stay up and sew all night on Wednesday and Thursday if necessary.
I finished quilting the placemats before lunch and, after a short break, I sandwiched Mario and my surprise project. I’m not sure how I should be quilting a pixelated piece. I took a Craftsy lesson, but the lesson didn’t cover quilting. I can’t find enough pictures online to be able to see what others have done so I’m just using a stitch-in-the-ditch technique. It isn’t hard, but it is time consuming.
Pat is hosting another singer/songwriter showcase at The Hub tonight. I usually drive my friend Corolla but she e-mailed me this morning and said she had a ride for both of us with another friend. That is nice as I’ll be able to indulge in a drink (or two) during the evening.
